Favourites of 2012: Judge Dredd by Arides Luna

The second phase of the Luna:

"Judge Dredd is a great character! I've never read much of his comics (Judge Dredd/Lobo and Judge Dredd/Batman), but always enjoyed his serious don't-ever-mess-with-me personality. About the movies; I don't think the 1995 Sylvester Stallone's Judge Dredd was that horrible. It had the looks and some of the atmosphere of the comics universe. It had the DNA judge gun, even the awesome big eagle shoulder plate was there!! Unfortunately Dredd takes off his helmet, but visually it pleases me!

This new Dredd movie was right on! Lots of violence, new characters as mutants, fight with other corrupt Judges and new cool concepts like the slo-mo drug! It's great! Didn't like the Karl Urban choice for Dredd though, but love both movies, they've got their ups and downs and Dredd's always been there!! ;) "

Favourites of 2012: Hulk by Arides Luna

Hailing from Rio De Janeiro and working as art-assistant to a great Brazilian cartoonist, Arides Luna tells us about his favourite character of 2012:

"Year after year two movies were made trying to get the character right but, in my opinion, every single one of them failed. Didn't fail miserably, but at the end of the 2003 and 2008 Hulk movies I always felt something was missing, it could've been better.

Now comes the Avengers movie with a real threat to the Hulk (not the military after him, like in the past two movies). and we could see him cut loose battling Thor, an army from outer space and one of the most surprising scenes of the year, smashing Loki to the ground as a puppet! Witty and funny! This will be memorable throughout the years ;)"

Thanks Arides. How many people fell in love with Hulk thanks to that movie??
